Foliepräglad box med sju böcker av Karl-Johan Stigmark utgivna 2007-2020. Titlar är: Various Parts Corners World, Sprickor Och Andra Sprickor, Fläckar, Ord, Antonyms, Loose Ends, Osynligheter och Åtta Pappershändelser. De första sex titlarna utgivna på OEI Editör och den sista titeln Åtta pappershändelser utgiven på FAS Publishing. De flesta av Karl- Johan Stigmarks konstprojekt är avsedda att upplevas i realtid, och den fotografiska dokumentation som hör till är mer att betrakta som självständiga verk, där konstnären låter bilderna och texten ingå ett symbiotiskt förhållande på en helt ny nivå. Men han har även en annan fotografisk praktik, där han vänder kameran mot de ting och områden i tillvaron som för de mesta inte bevärdigas vår blick. Här finns de tre böckerna "Various Parts Corners World", "Sprickor och Andra Sprickor" och "Fläckar, Ord" som blev nominerade till årets fotobok. För att nämna en av av dessa: Karl-Johan Stigmark’s Sprickor och Andra Sprickor (Cracks and Other Cracks) further advances a body of work that seeks to define the im/material by performing minimal interventions and documenting the minutia of daily life. Within the pages of this artist’s book (many of which have been left blank to underscore the materiality of the printed pages), Stigmark presents a collection of highly detailed photographs documenting the cracks and fissures in his bedroom ceiling, where the paint is beginning to peel away and the structure of the room is slowly changing, causing hairline fractures to appear. The artist describes the book thus: “Sprickor och Andra Sprickor: A morning when the light filters in through my window. A meditation on all the cracks, flakes, overlappings, cavities, gaps, holes, burstings, fissures, crevices, rips, cuts, scratches, grooves, clefts, plays, leaks, chinks, fractures, ruptures, and rifts in my bedroom ceiling… impossible to sum up. They are too many. They are plainly ‘cracks and other cracks.’”
