American Business Law A Civil Law Perspective is written to give lawyers trained in civil law a basic overview of the American legal systems, as well as of certain fundamental areas of the law. The systems discussed in Part I include the common law, the separation of power as well as the checks and balances between the different state institutions, federalism, as well as civil and criminal procedure. Part II explores property (including intellectual property), contracts (including sales and CISG), torts and the law of business enterprises.
