Narratives about mans place in a world where the power of nature and culture is difficult to master emerge in her carefully staged images, the production of which often involves set designers, craftsmen, and others. References to art history, and painting in particular, frequently appear in Friberg's work, along with enigmatic spaces and plays on the aesthetics of light.
